Hovingham Primary Premises Development Summer 2016
What is happening?
The whole roof in the KS2 area of school is getting replaced – new tiles, new skylights, new guttering and drain pipes. This is a priority area as regularly experiences roof leaks. Dependent upon funding, the rest of the roof areas will be replaced next year.
Modular Building Replacement
The cabins which currently accommodate Nursery and Reception will be removed and replaced with a larger modular building. Initially, it will accommodate Nursery and Reception and pending approval of permanent expansion to 3FE will become accommodation for KS2 from September 2017. Early Years will then move to a purpose built environment which will be constructed on the KS2 field, if all goes to plan.

These are the initial plans, not completely finalized, for the new accommodation for Nursery, Reception and one Year 1 class. This will be ready for September 2016.
When does the building work start?
The building work will take place for the duration of the school Summer holidays.
For families whose children attend the Mosque Supplementary School, please be aware they will temporarily be relocated from the school hall during the Summer holidays to another area within school. More information regarding this will be shared closer to the time.
For families who attend the GRT Advocacy Service at The Hub on a Thursday. This will continue as normal during the holiday period.
