Louise Hannon

I am a mum of three and started out my career as a primary school teacher. I taught for over ten years across the primary age range in a number of schools and was also a Reading Recovery teacher and English lead along the way. I now work for two different education charities (The Guardian Foundation and Leeds Development Education Centre) delivering workshops, projects, teacher training and creating school resources. I love reading, including children's books, and believe passionately in the huge and varied benefits of reading for pleasure in school. I am really excited to be part of the community at Hovingham and to help the team in ensuring all children are healthy, happy and reaching their full potential.
