I have worked in school starting off as a Learning Mentor which was primarily removing obstacles to learning i.e. improving behaviour, attendance and self-esteem .I am now working as a Family Support Worker supporting families to improve attendance . Prior to my role at Hovingham I worked as a Refugee and Asylum Support Worker. Having grown up locally I know the community very well understanding the challenges that young people face and the opportunities that can be made available to them.
