We are keen to recruit people with specific skills and expertise however, we welcome anyone who is interested in school governance.
Previous school governor experience is not essential and we would be able to offer further training as necessary.
Hovingham Primary School is a large inner-city school, serving the diverse and vibrant community of Harehills in Leeds.

As a governor you will be a volunteer who makes a vital contribution to the success of the school.
Who are our school governors?
The governing body of Hovingham Primary School is made up of, parents, staff, local authority and co-opted governors. We are from all walks of life and come fromdifferent backgrounds, with varying skills and experiences.
What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for new governors and would be delighted to hear from anyone who has:
We are looking for someone who can attend approximately 2 x 2 hour meetings per term, held in school, usually on an evening. Governors also spend time in school during the day (around two visits per term).
